Hard Yakka Mens 3056 Zip Sided Work Boots - Black

I bought myself a pair of the legend boots for site work so when it came to buying a new pair of boots for domestic there was only one sensible choice. As expected the fit and comfort out of the box was exceptional and they felt like a part of my foot. I’m a carpenter so my job can involve a lot of walking, climbing, crouching or just standing and planning with other trades and I have never yet found a position that is uncomfortable in theses or my legend boots. I’ve got walking boots that I’ve hiked mountains in Switzerland in that aren’t as comfortable as these.

Let’s not pretend that work boots are the most comfy types of footwear and I’ve tried dozens of pairs over the last 20 years and pretty much hated them all. So, when I got a new job as an HGV driver I began a quest to try and find a pair of work safety boots that wouldn’t kill my feet 24/7. My mate (he is nicknamed “Shoes”) told me about this website so I had a look. Although it was a fairly new company selling workwear, it seemed on point and I liked the look of the types and brands of boots they stocked.
I liked the look of the Hard Yakka 3056 (a boot brand from Down under) with side zip which is actually a brilliant design idea so I ordered my size. I had a small issue online (probably me being a galah) but a quick phone call and Ryan sorted me out a link to order and the boots appeared the next day. Now that’s bonzer service.

The boots themselves were better looking in the flesh and looked very well constructed. Now, I can’t lie, for the first few days of wearing them they felt a tad awkward but after day 5 it was like wearing a pair of favourite trainers. The memory foam insoles are a godsend. My feet got used to them after years of wearing hobnail type monstrosities. To take them off or put them on, all I do is use the zip (see, told ya it’s a brill design) and leave the laces permanently tied. They feel great to drive in and are spot on and true to size.
I had never heard of this boot brand before I went into the Big Boots website but for sure I’ll be back when I need more.
Cracking service all round and that’s my review, so back to my Sanger I go and then to yakka again.

These boots are very comfortable. The memory foam layer is good, hopefully it's long lasting.

Boots are a sloppy fit in the heel it’s maybe just my foot shape ! I usually struggle with safety boots rubbing my toes but these boots are fine for that , but I must say the steel blue boots are a much better fit
