This Cookie Policy explains how BIG Safety Ltd, trading as BIG Boots UK (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.bigboots.co.uk. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device to make websites work, improve performance, and provide insights for analytics and advertising. We also use pixels, tags, SDKs and local storage that operate similarly.

2. The laws that apply

We comply with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Where required, we obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies and before processing personal data for personalised ads, in line with Google’s EU User Consent Policy.

3. How we obtain consent (and how you can change it)

On your first visit, we present a banner that lets you accept, reject, or manage cookie categories. You can review or change your preferences at any time.

Blocking some cookies may affect site functionality (e.g., cart/checkout).

8. Do we use third-party cookies?

Yes. Third parties (e.g., Google, Meta, Shopify apps) may set cookies to provide services, measure performance, and personalise ads. These providers may process your data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we ensure appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
